Ted Mann joined The Day in 2003, and has covered state politics, the Connecticut Congressional delegation and the General Assembly since 2005. He is the recipient of a number of awards, including, most recently, first-place honors from the New England Associated Press News Executives Association, for coverage of the 2008 presidential primaries in Iowa, New Hampshire Rhode Island and Connecticut. Since 2008, he has also been assigned to the paper’s enterprise team, helping develop investigative and analytical pieces for the daily and Sunday editions. Mann writes The Trough, the Day’s political blog, and is based throughout the legislative session at the paper’s Hartford desk in the Capitol Press Room.
