The Stonington High School boys' soccer team, with a 4-0 defeat of Montville in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Division II game, finished the season undefeated at 15-0-1, its first unbeaten regular season since going 14-0-2 in 1994.

Unbeaten Fitch is in good shape to qualify for this year's CIAC football playoffs based on its remaining schedule. The odds aren't as promising for the area's other teams, though.
