Sue Peters, senior vice president of United Community & Family Services, has been awarded the Cornell Scott Award from the New England Clinicians Forum.
Established in 2009 in honor of Cornell Scott, the award recognizes his contributions to the community health center movement. Scott served as executive director of the Hill Health Center from 1972 to 2008. His 40-year tenure was marked by the development of services, sites and programs aimed at the low-income population of the New Haven area.
Peters was recognized for her dedication as a leader and innovator in creating initiatives to improve access to dental services for underserved children.
