Broken wing

Rick McPherson, director of experiential education at Waterford Country School, tends to a 4-month-old swan with a broken bone that was awaiting surgery Monday at the school's Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. A Waterford resident presented the school with $2,500 for care for the swan, which was rescued by Trapper Jon's Nuisance Wildlife Evictions.
