A Compelling and Enduring Way to Honor Madison

On Sunday, I enjoyed the glorious weather at the Hammonasett Festival manning a table for Stop Griswold Over Development. We had on display two large aerial photographs of the Griswold Airport property. In the foreground of one of the photos was the exquisite greenness of the airport land and far out on the western horizon were the green strips of the East River marsh and the Surf Club. What extraordinary treasures these greenswards are! They frame the town like two protective and permanent bookends. I can think of no more compelling and enduring way to honor our town than by voting positively on the purchase of the airport property in December.
