Cambridge, Mass. — The Connecticut College women's sailing team finished second out of 16 teams at this weekend's Victorian Coffee Urn Regatta at Harvard University.
Boston College won with 57 points. The Camels, ranked 12th in the nation, scored 63.
Maggie Shea and Kelly Arabia won the A Division (29 points) for Conn. Also, Bitsy Whipple, Claire Sacco and Katrina Salk finished second in the B Division (34).
Men's soccer
• Charles Romero had a goal and two assists to lead second-seeded Williams to its 3-0 win over Connecticut College Sunday in a New England Small College Athletic Conference men's soccer quarterfinal.
Will Whiston had a goal and an assist for Williams (12-2-1). Alex Martland had eight saves for the No. 7 Camels (8-6-1).
Women's field hockey
• Christy Bradley scored the game-winner at 27:45 of the first half as top-ranked Trinity came back to beat No. 8 Conn College 2-1 in a New England Small College Athletic Conference quarterfinal. Abby Hine scored 15 minutes into the game to give Conn (5-10) the early lead. Robyn Williams scored at 23:28 to tie the game for the Bantams (14-1).
Men's cross country
• Conn College's Doug Wright finished 26th for the second straight year as Conn College placed ninth at the NESCAC Championships at Manchester's Wickham Park. Williams scored 40 for its fourth consecutive title while Conn had 238 points. Hamilton's Peter Kosgei (25:40) became the first male to win three successive meet championships. Nate Lovitt finished 30th, Lebanon's Shawn Mulcahy was 60th and Julian Gallo placed 79th for the Camels.
Women's cross country
• Kelsey Taylor finished 56th and Kerry Dermody 59th as Conn College placed 10th at the NESCAC Championship. Middlebury won the race with 49 points, the Camels scored 280. Amherst's Sophia Galleher was the individual winner (21:39). Lindsay Paiva finished 74th, Colleen MacPhee was 75th and Ally Bonito placed 85th for Conn.
Wrestling
• Waterford youth wrestling registration will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 20, at the Waterford Community Center. Boys and girls in grades K-5 eligible. Practice begins Dec. 1 and runs every Tuesday and Thursday. Cost is $45 for the first child in the family, $40 for the second child. Contact Marc Duplice at 287-6676.
