Norwich — A second man was arrested today in connection with the March 21 armed robbery of a CVS pharmacy in which more than 2,000 OxyContin pills were stolen.

Daniel M. Iliff, 24, of 8 Old Quarry Road, Gales Ferry, was charged with accessory to first-degree robbery, accessory to first-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery.

Police responded to the CVS pharmacy at 5:25 p.m. for a report of an armed robbery.

A man, whom police would later identify as Joshua L. Michaud, entered the store wearing a dark jacket, sunglasses and a dark-colored New England Patriots hat.

Police said he displayed a handgun and demanded OxyContin pills.
Michaud left with more than 2,000 pills valued at about $12,000.

Michaud was arrested last month for his role in the robbery.

After an extensive investigation, police determined that Iliff was involved in the robbery.

Iliff is being held on a $150,000 bond, pending his arraignment today in Norwich Superior Court.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation or any criminal activity in the city is asked to police at 886-5561 or the Anonymous Tip line at 886-5561 extension 500.
