Waterford - Two men were arrested early this morning on charges that they were in possession of more than 3 pounds of marijuana.
During a routine stop for speeding in the area of Route 32 and Benham Avenue, police said they found the drugs and $900 in cash.
Waterford K-9 Atos found the drugs in the trunk of the car.
Police charged Anthony Whyte, 35, of 43 Warner St., Groton and Robert Winston, 24, of 35 West St., New London, each with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of more than 1 kilo of marijuana, possession of marijuana withing 1,500 feet of a school and possession of marijuana.
Whyte was also charged with speeding.
Both men are being held on a $100,000 bond, pending their arraignment today at G.A. 10 in New London.
