North Stonington – Police are searching for a man who robbed the Xtra Mart convenience store early this morning.
State police said the man entered the store at 226 Norwich Westerly Road about 1:25 a.m. and handed the clerk a note that demanded cash. There were no injuries and no weapon shown, police said.
The robber was described as a white man about 5-feet 4-inches tall, weighing 170 pounds with short red hair and a short red goatee. He was wearing a blue hat, a gray and black-hooded sweatshirt or jacket and jeans.
