People want to know if sex abusers nearby

I noticed in the article titled "Former city police officer pleads guilty to molestation," published Nov. 6, that William Edwards has pleaded guilty to risk of injury to a minor because he "forced a child to submit to sexual contact." But he is not going to be listed on the state's sex offender registry.

I thought this case was transferred to Danielson to avoid the appearance of favoritism. Now we learn that not only is there the appearance of favoritism, but there is favoritism.

Would you want this admitted cocaine addict living next to your child when released from prison? Shouldn't parents have the right to know they are living next to a sex offender? Good move.
