East Lyme school board approves teachers contract

East Lyme - The Board of Education unanimously approved a three-year contract with the East Lyme Teachers' Association at its meeting on Monday.

In the first year of the contract, which runs from September 1, 2010 to August 31, 2013, teachers will not receive a pay increase or increases in any other areas. During the second year, teachers will receive a 2.9 percent salary bump with step increases and during the third year, a 2.99 percent salary increase, but an additional increase in their insurance co-pay.
