Janetha Sander, right, and Sue Pianka make pies Tuesday at North Stonington Congregational Church as part of its annual Pie Festival. More than 300 pies were made to fill orders for pickup on the three days preceding Thanksgiving Day. Last year the church made $15,000 from pie sales from June to December. A limited number of pies will be on sale at the church on Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., for customers who have not pre-ordered.
