A Mystic-based real estate professional has been named president of the Eastern Connecticut Association of Realtors.
Debra Chamberlain, a Realtor with the William Raveis Real Estate firm, took her oath of office this month to head the Norwich-based regional association.
Chamberlain was installed as the group's 2010 president by Nichole Dagata, the 2010 president of the Connecticut Association of Realtors, and past CAR president Kenneth Delvecchio served as the master of ceremonies during the eastern Connecticut association's gathering on Nov. 20 at the Seamen's Inne in Mystic.
Chamberlain, in her remarks to the association as its new president, encouraged members to "plug in" to the association by serving on its various committees, and she reminded the members to take advantage of the many services available from the Eastern Connecticut Association of Realtors.
Other officers installed this month include president-elect Samantha Storey of RE/MAX Coast and Country; secretary Cathy Duprey of Duprey Real Estate; treasurer Alvin Kinsall of Randall, Realtors, and immediate past president Carol Christiansen of RE/MAX Realty Group.
The Eastern Connecticut Association of Realtors (www.easternctrealtors.com) offers its services to more than 1,100 Realtors and related members. The group is affiliated with the Connecticut Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
Newly elected eastern Connecticut directors include Marjorie Blizard of IMT Real Estate Solutions; Donna Jean Breton of Prudential CT Realty; Merry Cassabria of Cassabria Realty; Marvin Elbaum of Prudential CT Realty; Catherine Newlin of RE/MAX Home Team; Joanne Pendleton of Crystal Real Estate Co.; Susan Rich of Exit Home Town Properties, and Douglas Taber of Taber Realty Inc.
Continuing directors include Frank Busch of Performance Realty Group; Paul Higgins of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage; Lora Merrill of William Raveis Real Estate, and Fran Waite of William Raveis Real Estate.
