A few bonus notes from the UConn-Duke post game press conference:

-- When informed that ESPN's Doug Gottlieb called his team alarmingly unathletic, Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski responded: "He should be an expert on alarmingly non-athletic. So I'll have to take a look at that a little bit closer because it comes from an expert who actually knows what it feels like to be alarmingly non-athletic.

"Actually, we're pretty athletic; we're just not as athletic as Connecticut."

Gottlieb is a former Division I guard, playing at Notre Dame and Oklahoma State.

-- The last time UConn lost a game while holding an opponent under 30 percent from the field came in a 1991 Big East Tournament quarterfinal loss to Georgetown at Madison Square Garden.

The Hoyas shot 28.3 percent but still easily won, 68-49. They converted 32-of-39 free throws. Dikembe Mutombo had 13 points and 27 rebounds and Alonzo Mourning added 19 points. UConn coach Jim Calhoun received two technicals, earning an ejection.

Duke shot 28.4 percent in Friday's NIT Season Tip-Off Championship win.

It's the first time since 1950 that the Blue Devils won a game shooting as low as 28 percent.

-- Calhoun on his team allowing 25 offensive rebounds and losing the overalll rebounding battle (56-43): "I'm so appalled by the lack of rebounding by us as a team. You can't beat anybody if they get 25 offensive rebounds. If you hold somebody to 28 percent, you can't lose."

-- For the third time in five games, UConn freshman center Alex Oriakhi hit double figures for rebounds, finishing with a game-high 13.

-- At one point, Calhoun screamed at senior Stanley Robinson for his lack of rebounding.

"I told him to get his ass going and play some basketball," Calhoun said. "He didn't. He did defend. ... But Robinson, once again, for him to play 35 minutes and get four rebounds in a game of 87 misses, just can't happen. He's a terrific rebounder."

-- Play got chippy at times. Officials called 45 fouls. Five players fouled out, including UConn's Jerome Dyson and Kemba Walker.

-- Rebounding isn't UConn's only problem. The Huskies are receiving little help from their bench and perimeter shooting remains suspect.

-- Remember, forward Ater Majok becomes eligible to play Dec. 20 against Central Florida.
