Connecticut Lyric Opera has expanded its performance sites - now including New Britain, Middletown and Waterbury - but it's still staging its acclaimed operas in New London. Tonight, it brings its perfomance of Donizetti's comic piece "L'elisir d'Amore (The Elixir of Love)" to the Garde Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. The tale, set in a 19th-century Italian village, finds a bumbling man buying a love potion in the hopes of attracting the object of his affection - a lovely landowner who has her eye on someone else. Tickets run from $25 to $50. Call (860) 444-7373 or visit www.gardearts.org.
