Floyd Chesbro Jr. and Joan (Holdredge) Chesbro of Ledyard celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Oct. 17, 2009.
They were married 50 years ago in the Old Mystic Baptist Church. They have owned and operated their own garage repair business in Ledyard for the past 30 years.
They have three children, Floyd Chesbro III and his wife, Ann, of Griswold, Sally (Chesbro) Sylvia and her husband, Mark, of Mystic, and Peter Chesbro of Ledyard; and three grandchildren, Brittany Ceravolo, Madeline Chesbro, and Jacob Sylvia.
Their children sent them to Nashville, Tenn., to celebrate the occasion.
