Rocky Hill - Montville High School goalkeeper Kelsey MacCracken made four saves and was named the Blue Team Most Valuable Player in defeating the Red Team, 2-1, in the Connecticut High School Coaches' Association Senior Bowl at Rocky Hill High School on Saturday.

Old Lyme's Brittany Cowee scored a game-tying goal off a rebound early in the second half and Alyssa Martino of Plainville scored the go-ahead goal shortly after.

Lyman Memorial's Cailyn Walsh scored the Red Team's only goal early in the first half. In the other game, The White Team defeated the Maroon Team, 5-0.

Women's hockey

• Ariel DiPasquale scored for Connecticut College in a 5-1 loss to Trinity College in New England Small College Athletic Conference play. Amy Leichliter made three saves for the Camels (0-3, 0-3).

Men's hockey

• Julien Boutet scored for Connecticut College on a second period penalty shot in a 3-1 loss to Amherst in the first round of the Spurrier Tournament held at Wesleyan University. Greg Parker made 27 saves for the Camels (0-3). Conn will play Trinity today at 1 p.m. in the third-place game.

Women's basketball

• Brianna Reilly had 20 points for UConn-Avery Point in a 77-52 win over Massasoit Community College.

Karen Manning scored 18 for the Pointers (7-1), who were coming off their first loss of the season - a 59-54 defeat last Monday.

Men's basketball

• Stonington's Tim Sartor had 26 points, including four 3-pointers, for UConn-Avery Point in a 77-65 loss to Massachusetts Bay Community College.

Ledyard's Michael Jensen added 15 points and Joe Priestley scored eight for the Pointers (1-7).
