Ledyard - Navy Reserve Lt. Cmdr. Sarah McGann completed the Reserve Officer Strategy and Policy Course at the Naval War College in Newport, R.I.
McGann studied the complex interactions between a nation's political interests and the strategic decisions made during several major conflicts, insurgencies and terror campaigns during the two-week course.
McGann is a training officer normally assigned to the Military Sealift Command Expeditionary Port at Naval Station Everett. She has served in the military for 12 years.
She is the daughter of Bill H. and Sheila G. McGann of Gales Ferry and a 1993 graduate of St. Bernard High School in Uncasville.
