Montville - Dominique Langston hit a 3-pointer with 20 seconds left in regulation to give St. Thomas More an 87-86 win over New Hampton in men's basketball Wednesday.
Langston finished with 14 points.
Trahson Burrell led the Chancellors (3-0) with 21 points, six rebounds and six steals. Bryon Allen scored 13 points with seven assists for St. Thomas More while Tre Bowman added 11 points and Matt Conway scored 10.
Brady Heslip scored 28 for New Hampton.

• R.J. Hall scored 23 points as Suffolk County CC beat Avery Point, 98-91.
Shawn Fenton added 19 for Suffolk (3-2). Michael Jensen scored 35 points for the Pointers (1-9) and Teaurean Nolan, Nolan LoRicco and William Arthur each scored 12.
Women's basketball
• Melissa Martinelli scored 18 points for Coast Guard in a 47-38 win over MIT in the New England Men's and Women's Athletic Conference opener for both teams. Sabrina Taylor added 15 points and Karli Collins had nine rebounds for the Bears (2-1, 1-0).
Girls' basketball
• Dache Williams scored 22 points as Watkinson of Hartford beat Williams, 47-30, in the season opener for both teams. Rebecca Ross scored 12 for Watkinson. Marissa Peck scored 16 for the Blues and Capri DeBiccari added seven points.
Boys' basketball
• Jake Goldberg had 19 points, four assists and three steals for The Williams School in a 49-45 loss to Watkinson in the season opener for both teams. Sam Pieniadz added 11 points and five rebounds for the Blues and Noah Spigelman scored six.
College men's soccer
• UConn's Toni Stahl has been named a semifinalist for the Hermann Trophy, which is considered the highest individual honor in college soccer. Stahl, a senior midfielder, had two goals and nine assists for 13 points this season.
Montville football tickets
• Tickets for Montville's Class SS championship game will be on sale today and Friday at the Montville High School main office. They will available today from 11 a.m. through 4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. Montville plays St. Joseph of Trumbull Saturday at 2 p.m. at Strong Stadium in West Haven. Tickets are $5 for students and senior citizens and $8 for adults.
