Suspect arrested after multi-town chase

Police chased a reported stolen car around the region this afternoon before finally arresting the driver in Ledyard.

Troop K in Colchester started the chase and then stopped it, and it was then picked up by Troop E on Route 163 in Montville.

Police followed the gray Toyota Avalon onto Interstate 395 north into the area of Exit 80. The vehicle then went onto the Mohegan Sun property, where the driver went the wrong way on Mohegan Sun Boulevard.

The car then went over the Mohegan-Pequot Bridge and onto Route 12 in Ledyard, headed toward Route 214 in Ledyard. The chase ended in Ledyard on Mulberry Drive, off Military Highway. The driver fled, and was caught by police.
