David Archuleta - the wide-eyed, sincere "American Idol" runner-up - has gone full-tilt Christmas.
He made his second CD a holiday one, titled "Christmas from the Heart." Archuleta, who's now 18, mixed up the merriment on his Christmas release, with songs he has sung since he was a kid (think "O Holy Night" and "Joy to the World") and less-familiar ones (he sang "Pat-a-pan" in French).
He's now out on tour in support of that. Not that die-hard Archie fans should fret; that concert tour, which he brings to MGM Grand at Foxwoods tonight, calls on material from both albums.
After this tour is done, it's back to recording for Archuleta. He'll be starting work on his next CD.
David Archuleta, 7 tonight, MGM Grand at Foxwoods; $20-$40; 1-800-200-2882.
With the Valentine's Day holiday approaching, we wanted to see if any of our readers ever received a Valentine's gift that was memorably bad.
