This photo was one of those unexpected moments that I sometimes find while on assignment. This time I was at St. Mary Star of the Sea church in New London photographing a crew using a large crane to put the last pinnacle in place to complete the masonry restoration project.
At one point I turned away from all the action and found all these small faces from St. Mary Star of the Sea School looking out the window. They were fascinated by the large crane located in the courtyard between their school and the church and were there for only a brief moment before they were called away to get back to their studies.
