John and Ann Sullivan of Groton and Gary and Carol Batch of Waterford are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Samantha Sullivan and Kevin Batch.

The bride-to-be is a 1994 graduate of St. Bernard High School and received her bachelor of arts degree in human growth and development from Anna Maria College in 1998, and her master's degree in elementary education from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2003. She is employed as a first-grade teacher at St. Mary Star of the Sea School, New London.

The groom-to-be is a 1992 graduate of Waterford High School and received his bachelor of science degree in communications from Southern Connecticut State University in 1998. He is employed as an IT Technician for CompuCom at Pfizer Global Headquarters, New London.

Samantha and Kevin will marry on July 31, 2010.
