On July 25, 2009, at the Waters Edge Resort, Carol Wesche became the bride of Liam Ahearn. The sunset ceremony was officiated by cousin of the bride and Justice of the Peace Kenneth Shinn.

Maid of honor for her sister was Dr. Doreen Soldato. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride, Kelly Rapple, Christine Monroe, Miah Medeiros, Stacy Parr, and cousins of the bride, Brittany Shinn, Brielle Shinn, and Kayleigh Shinn.

Best man for his brother was Carrick Walsh. Groomsmen were Ian Nichols, Thomas Gass, Ben Weaver, Josh Lucier, Michael Ford, Leo DiLorenzo, and Michael Flanagan.

Ushers were Daniel Emack, Michael DeBonis, Marc Todesco, all friends of the groom.

Antonio Soldato, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Greeters were cousins of the bride, Olivia Shinn and Brett Gullickson.

Carol, the daughter of Drew and Londa Wesche of Ledyard, is a 2002 graduate of Ledyard High School and received her bachelor's in biology from ECSU. She is a junior research associate at Predictive Biosciences in Lexington, Mass.

Liam, who graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School in 1999, is the son of Robert and Sheila Walsh of Brockton, Mass. He holds a bachelor's in marketing from UMass Dartmouth and is a SQA Analyst at State Street Corp. in Boston, Mass.

After a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple returned home to Salem, Mass.
