The VNA of Southeastern CT has announced it has an additional 600 doses of seasonal flu vaccine, thanks to a donation from the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe.
The Visiting Nurse Association will offer seasonal flu shots at a cost of $16 to cover the administrative costs. Medicare and most insurances will be accepted for the administration fee.
Seasonal flu shots will be available at the H1N1 Clinic, along with H1N1 immunizations, from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Ledyard High School and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the VNASC office in Waterford.
The VNASC will also hold two seasonal flu-only clinics: from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday Feb. 2 and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday Feb. 5 at the VNASC office. The February dates originally announced were incorrect.
The Day hosted a web chat with New London Mayor Daryl J. Finizio to discuss the beginning of his new administration and news out of the city's police department.
