Live For the Moment
8 p.m., CBS
This is "Survivor" host Jeff Probst's vanity project, which was initially left off CBS' programming schedule and is now arriving on the grid as a "special." It's basically a "bucket list" show, in which Probst finds someone with a touching story, and they go do something cool and scary together. The original title of the show was "Live Like You're Dying," which would've been good news for Kris Allen, but CBS apparently thought no one would watch a show with that title. "If you're looking for something new that offers great adventure as well as an uplifting message about how to get the most out of life, I hope you'll check it out and encourage your friends to watch," wrote Probst in a blog.
The Deep End
8 p.m., ABC
This is like "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice," except with lawyers, so I guess that actually makes it "L.A. Law," except without the shoulder pads. I had my parents watch it for me. They give it four thumbs down. Which is all you need to know.
Burn Notice
10 p.m., USA
Hmmm. Last week's return was underwhelming at best. The "client" story line was kind of dumb, and the woman who played the client was such a bad actress that I had decided by the end of the show that she must've been some executives niece or cousin or something. Kind of like how Sofia Coppola got that role in "Godfather III." On top of that, the new "twist" in Michael's efforts to get unburned had a sort of been there-done that feel; the new mystery guy, the clues, I feel sort of "whatever" about all that. I am with Fiona on this, in that I wish Michael would just reconcile himself to his situation and move on. Do we need the "mythology" back story to stay riveted? I don't think so. (That said, the Sharon Gless-Tyne Daly reunion was fun, although also a little anti-climactic.)
Once again this year, The Day is running its Peeps competition, in which we invite you to take Easter's favorite candy – Peeps – and turn them into art.
