The sentencing of former Eastern Pequot vice chairman Mark R. Sebastian has been rescheduled to March 10.
A New London jury found Sebastian guilty last month of seven firearms crimes. Judge Kevin P. McMahon was to sentence Sebastian today but rescheduled the proceeding because prosecutor Paul J. Narducci was on trial in the kidnapping case of Russell E. Kirby.
Sebastian, 47, is free on $150,000 pending his sentencing. He faces a maximum of 35 years in prison at sentencing. At the trial, Sebastian’s cousin Calvin “CJ” Sebastian, a convicted felon who is prohibited from possessing guns, testified that he gave money to Sebastian to purchase three guns in November 2005 and that his cousin gave him a fourth pistol at a later date.
Mark Sebastian denied that he gave the guns to his cousin.
