Groton – Police in Groton say part of Shewville Road near its intersection with Route 184 is closed as crews work to repair a downed power line.

Earlier this afternoon, a driver struck a utility pole at the intersection and police are on the site until repair work is complete, a police dispatcher said. Work is expected to be finished later this evening.
