Once again Old Lyme's first selectman is being less than honest on the town's position for proposed cell tower installations in the shoreline area of town.
At a recent public hearing, First Selectman Tim Griswold stated that he supports the application by
T-Mobil for a 100-foot cell tower at 232 Shore Road, yet at an earlier meeting the same day he requested that this tower be increased in height from 100 feet to 160 feet to support the town's emergency communication requirements.
Cell tower height is a primary concern of area residents, and they deserve the truth as to who and what is driving the increased tower height. After the defeat of the SBA Towers II proposal at Cross Lane, you would expect more transparency from Old Lyme town officials.
