I am writing about Connecticut state Rep. James O'Rourke. ("Lawmaker O'Rourke sued over woman's death," Feb. 6.) There are two wrongs in this story.

The tavern never should have put her out without her coat, shoes and purse.

The second thing wrong is that this person (I will not call him a man) shouldn't have let her walk away from his car.

Rep. O'Rourke says that the woman jumped into his car uninvited so he gave her a ride, that they got into an argument and she jumped out. The least Rep. O'Rourke could have done is take one finger and dial 911. A patrol officer would have come and maybe taken her back to get her belongings.

If she did not have her purse she probably didn't have her house keys or cell phone. You do not leave her on the side of the road.

This representative of the people of the state of Connecticut did not represent this young lady. Freezing to death must be a horrible way to die.

I know nothing about this lady or her problems in life, but she did not deserve to die this way.
