A new snowfall blankets the rocks, trees and bushes in the Connecticut College Arboretum in New London. The snow formed a thin crust on the Arboretum's pond, stretching out from a translucent slush near the tree-lined banks to a firm layer of white in the middle. Only three sets of human footprints, including those of the photographer, had disturbed the cover of the trail ringing the pond.
