The Connecticut Film Industry Training Program will be available in June to residents seeking the skills to work in the state's film industry.
Applications are available only on the Web site ww.ctfilmworkforce.com and must be submitted by April 23. Classes begin June 7 at Quinnipiac University in Hamden.
"We are sending a clear signal to the industry that a talented and knowledgeable labor pool exists here," said Joan McDonald, commissioner of the Department of Economic and Community Development.
Completion of the program may provide certified trainees with up to five weeks of internship.
