While sitting at the light at the head of State Street recently, a riddle occurred to me:

What is the difference between the New London Courthouse and a McDonald's?

Well, you won't get "fries with that" from the courthouse; and a McDonald's would never fly such a torn and tattered flag.

You're right. Not very funny.

If it is beyond the "powers that be" to display the American flag responsibly, it would be better if they just didn't even try.
