About Maggie Jones

Maggie Jones has been executive director of the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center since 1992 and a lifelong resident of southeastern CT.

She has a BA in Botany from CT College (1985), and more than 25 years of experience studying and teaching about the habitats and wildlife of our region.

Through field trips and hikes, workshops, school programs, exhibits, Facebook, Twitter and more, Nature Center programs and activities for all ages help inspire and nurture appreciation and scientific understanding of the natural world and foster a personal environmental ethic.

The Nature Center is also a state and federally licensed wildlife rehabilitator, handling hundreds of wildlife emergencies and inquiries each year.
