Just finished a conference call this morning with Notre Dame coach Mike Brey.
Judging from Brey's comments, star Luke Harangody is very doubtful for Wednesday's game against UConn in South Bend. Harangody has missed the last four games with a deep bone bruise on his right knee.
He'll be re-evaluated this week.
"We'll see how he is out on the floor and see what he feels like," Brey said. "We're preparing like we're not going to have him. ... We've been playing for awhile without him and that's got to be our mindset."
The Fighting Irish (19-10) have played well without Harangody, the Big East's leading scorer and second leading rebounder. They upset nationally Pittsburgh and Georgetown last week.
"It's really helped our confidence," Brey said.
Notre Dame is on the NCAA bubble with two regular season games remaining.
UConn (17-12) is in tougher shape, probably needing to win road games at Notre Dame and at South Florida and at least one game in next week's Big East Tournament.
