Students from Renee Pardo's 1st-grade class listened as Madison Police Sgt. Jon Pardo read Officer Buckle & Gloria aloud on March 1 in support of Island Avenue School's second annual Read Across America Day. The theme of this year's
celebrations was Dr. Seuss's birthday; he would have been 106 years old on March 2.
Sgt. Pardo was joined by other community members including First Selectman Filmore McPherson and Channel 8 News anchor Sonia Baghdady in reading to students.
