TV news can provide too much information

I was watching the TV news on Wednesday and there was a report about a hawk that is attacking unsuspecting people outside.

The reporter interviewed a few people from the area, one of whom was a young boy, and gave the names of all the people who spoke on camera. Then they showed the street sign, then the name of the town.

With all the sickos out there, who would allow a young boy's face, name, street and town to be displayed on the evening news? There should be limitations as to what can and should be shown on TV. If that was my child he would not be allowed to speak on broadcast television.
