Shane Smith and Amanda Bowes were married on Sept. 6, 2009, at Wright's Mill Farm in Canterbury. Justice of the Peace Joseph Parise officiated.
Amanda is the daughter of Edward and Susan Bowes of Waterford and David and Mary Thompson of Quaker Hill, and the granddaughter of Janice Bowes of Waterford and Mildred Kent of Quaker Hill. The bride is a 2003 graduate of Waterford High School.
Shane is the son of Larry Smith of Spring City, Tenn., and Sheila Smith of Dayton, Tenn. He is a 1994 graduate of Rhea County High School in Evensville, Tenn.
Maid of honor was Lindsay Bowes, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Danielle Bowes, the bride's cousin, Hope Roberts, the groom's sister, Kerstin Smith, the groom's daughter, Jen Lapkowski and Ashley Richard Yu, friends of the bride. Flower girl was Isabella Lee, the bride's niece. Best man was Chris Smith, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Dusty Roberts, the groom's brother-in-law, and Sam Silva, friend of the couple.
Shane and Amanda reside in Spring City, Tenn., with their cats, Casey and Maggie.
