Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains

8 p.m., CBS

Finally, the "heroes" Tom and Colby are acting like villains and being conniving and sneaky. It was a great Tribal Council last week, although I wonder why Probst went so ballistic on Rupert, who was just being Rupert. The reason why Rupert has never won "Survivor" is because he always acts like Rupert, Jeff. No surprises there. So, tonight, James (my 9-year-old's favorite, because "he is so muscly") gets hurt during a challenge, apparently seriously. And whatshername joins them. I usually don't like the "gimmick" versions of these shows, but I am loving this one.

American Idol

8 p.m., Fox

The long national nightmare that has been the Top 24 comes to an end, and we begin the longer national nightmare that will be the Top 12, ending in mid-May with the coronation of Crystal Bowersox as the new American Idol, and Simon and I shuffle off stage left. Oh, and speaking of crappy, Scott MacIntyre and Matt Giraud perform.

Project Runway

10 p.m., Lifetime

I just about peed my pants last week with the hardware store challenge, when Emilio's washer and twine "bikini" evolved from his original plan to make a dress. And then the way he hemmed and hawed and lied about it to the judges. And how fabulous was the judge who is the designer of Michelle Obama's inauguration day outfit, which I loved? I'm glad Jesse is gone, he was cute but really full of himself. I loved Amy's sandpaper dress, and I think would've picked it to win over Jay's garbage bag "leather" pants and top. But that's just me. Last week was good.
