New London boys roll past Branford

Meriden — Torin Childs-Harris scored 22 points to help lead the New London High School boys' basketball team to a 64-41 victory over Branford Friday night in a CIAC Class L quarterfinal game at Maloney High School.
New London, the No. 2 seed, plays No. 3 Bristol Eastern next Tuesday in the semifinals, at a site and time to be determined. Bristol Eastern eliminated Northwest Catholic of West Hartford 79-78. Kris Dunn had 15 points and Johnson Benjamin scored 11 for New London (24-1), which led 35-18 at halftime.
