UConn rebounded from a sluggish start to take a 34-26 halftime lead.
That's a good sign because the Huskies are 14-4 this season when leading at intermission.
UConn trailed 10-2 and 19-16 before a 16-3 run handed the Huskies the lead.
Three seniors are powering the Huskies. Stanley Robinson has 10 points while Jerome Dyson had five and Gavin Edwards, who made his fourth career start, has six.
Freshman Alex Oriakhi has played well, chipping in eight points and seven rebounds. The Huskies are controlling the boards (23-14). They've scored 12 points off of 10 offensive rebounds.
UConn cooled off Northeastern star Matt Janning who scored 11 of his team's first 15 points but didn't score in the last 11 minutes. Dyson started off guarding Janning before Robinson took over.
