New Haven — The New London High School boys' basketball team beat Bristol Eastern 66-46 Tuesday night in a CIAC Class L semifinal at the New Haven Athletic Center.
The No. 2 Whalers (25-1) will play top-ranked and unbeaten Stratford in the final at Mohegan Sun Arena on either Friday or Saturday. Stratford handed New London its only loss of the season on Dec. 16, 68-57. Kris Dunn and Malcolm Simmons each finished with 17 points and Torin Childs-Harris scored 16 points, including 13 in the second half, for New London.
