Today's forecast calls for perfect parade weather: sunny and in the 50s. Conveniently enough, New London is hosting a parade at 1 p.m. in honor of St. Patrick's Day.
The third-annual New London Irish Parade steps off at the corner of State and Bank streets and ends a few blocks away at State and Meridian streets.
Marchers include the New London High School Band, ROTC, fire and police departments, carpenters union and the Emerald Society, which represents those of Irish descent who serve in law enforcement.
