Financial award is one way to honor WASPs

Where was - or is - the fairness that should be shown to our veteran WASPs? They volunteered, flew missions and put themselves in jeopardy each and every day.
The article titled "Female WWII aviators honored with gold medal," published March 11, stated that these lady veterans had no real honor shown to them. They even had to pay their own way home. What a disgrace!
It's too late for many, but I'm sure many WASP veterans could readily use some type of financial benefit while still among the land of the living.
