Anthony Cronin, The Day's business editor, and Suzanne Thompson, a columnist with The Lyme Times, won journalism awards Thursday from the Connecticut Agricultural Information Council.
Both were honored, along with other winners from the state's weeklies, dailies and television outlets, during the state's annual Agriculture Day at the State Capitol, hosted by Gov. M. Jodi Rell and the state's Department of Agriculture.
Cronin received "Best Feature Story" honors for "The Farmer's Cow Steps Beyond Milk," published Dec. 6, 2009.
Thompson received "Best Series" honors for a weekly publication for her "CT Outdoors" column.
With the Valentine's Day holiday approaching, we wanted to see if any of our readers ever received a Valentine's gift that was memorably bad.
