By now, most U.S. citizens have received their 2010 Census reporting form. I do hope all realize their sole obligation is to answer Question 1: "Number of People." That's it.
Did anyone notice that Question 1 is in a highlighted box? Wonder why? All the rest of the questions are an intrusion on people's privacy and should not be required to be answered. (U.S. Constitution, Section 2, Clause 3 subject to 14th Amendment). Look it up!
How many hundreds of millions of our tax dollars will be spent by the government analyzing and categorizing all of the superfluous information collected (and saved?) beyond Question 1? Why does the government waste our precious tax dollars doing just that since it is illegal to discriminate based on age, gender, marital status or race?
How many more hundreds of millions of dollars could have been saved by our government if it simply sent out a returnable postcard with the one and only appropriate question: "Number of People"?
