'Empowering Women Luncheon' set for July 23 in Groton

Bethsaida Community Inc. will hold its first "Empowering Women Luncheon" on July 23 at the Groton Inn & Suites with three guest speakers planned.

The luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m., and tickets are $50 per person. Groups of eight will receive a 10 percent discount.

Guest speakers will be Irene O'Connor, anchorwoman for WFSB-Channel 3 morning news, Stacey Honowitz, a 22-year attorney in the Florida State's Attorney's office specializing in sex crimes and child-abuse cases, and Millie Devine, founder of the Southeastern Connecticut Women's Network.
