This year there are several changes in school bus runs, so the school district administration urges parents to consult the district's website to learn more. Parents and residents can find information about the Westbrook school system and people in the school community posted online at the school district's website, www2.westbrookctschools.org.

School Starts: Wednesday, Sept. 1

School Hours for 2010-2011

Daisy Ingraham Elementary School: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Westbrook Middle School: 7:45 a.m. to 2:25 p.m.

Westbrook High School: 7:50 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.

Key September Events

WHS Freshman Orientation: Wed., Aug. 25 at 7 p.m.

Kindergarten Orientation: Mon., Aug. 30, at 11 a.m.

First Day of School: Wednesday, Sept. 1

Westbrook High School Open House: Thursday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m.

WHS 50th Anniversary Celebration: Sunday,

Sept. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Westbrook Middle School Open House: Thursday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m.

Daisy Ingraham Elementary School Family Picnic: Wednesday, Sept. 8

Student Meal Information

Daisy Ingraham School: $2 - Lunch; $1 - Breakfast

Westbrook Middle School: $2.25 - Lunch

Westbrook High School: $2.50 - Lunch

Milk at each school: $0.50

An à la carte menu is available at the secondary schools only. At Daisy Ingraham Elementary School, parents may pre-pay for meals one week in advance by sending with their student an envelope with a check made out to the "Westbrook Lunch Program". Families may apply for student free and reduced lunches through the federal program; application forms are available in school offices throughout the year.
