"To bigotry no sanction to persecution no assistance," which President George Washington said in 1790 to Newport Rhode Island Jews. This was when many new states did not allow synagogues.
President Washington also said: Everyone shall sit in safety under his own vine and fig tree, and there shall be none to make him afraid.
Muslims, Jews and Christians are of the stock of Abraham. They believe in the same God. Many of the writings are similar. We should be building on these things and creating new bridges.
Hate breeds hate. Violence breeds violence. As a Christian I believe that Christ taught us to Love. Love God, friends, enemies and even ourselves. The other is to forgive.
