Connecticut Light & Power is accepting applications through Oct. 15 for grants to fund environmental initiatives in communities served by the company.
Eligible projects include those that help protect the environment or teach others the value of preservation, including improving a local wildlife habitat or starting and maintaining a recycling program.
Applications must be for initiatives that can be fully funded by the grant without using other funding sources. Awards of up to $1,000 for the Environmental Community Grant Program will be awarded in December.
For more information, or to apply, call (860) 665-5033 or visit www.nu.com/environmental/grant.asp.
